Life is crazy. There's a lot of stuff I want to do with my life, but I have no idea where to start. Seems like there is not enough time for everything. Lol. But here are my plans for the next few years.. yay! *barf.
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist; My goal right now is to get into this program. The application is due by February 15, 2010. I can't apply until I finish Chemistry and Anatomy, which I am taking this fall semester. But the thing is, they only accept THIRTY students a year and I don't even know how many students are applying and how many of them have 4.0 GPAs! Lol, even if I get A's in Chemistry and Anatomy, my GPA is about 3.66.. Like is that high enough to get into the program?! It stresses me out thinking about that because if I don't get in.. I don't know what will happen. Lol, its not gonna be the end of the world, but I'll be very disappointed because I FINALLY found something I would like to do.
- ASL Interpreter; This may be my backup plan, but I really don't want it to be. I want to be able to do both NMT and this. I remember taking ASL in high school, but it was somewhat a BS class because I did not want to learn spanish or any other language they offered. It was a really easy class and I never thought much of it until the Summer semester. I was not able to take a Chemistry class because of this STUPID instructor, but let's not get into that. I needed 4 more credits in order to recieve financial aid and the only 4 credit class available was ASL. I learned so much more about Deaf Culture in this class and I have become more interested and more involved in ASL. And plus the average salary for an interpreter ranges from $9.67 to $27.45 with a median of $16.28 per hour. It's not bad, but its VERY hard to become an interpreter- esp for ASL, but I'm willing to try it.
- I am also looking for a 2nd job, which is super hard because of my school schedule in the fall. I actually trying to look for a job at a restuarant or something so I might be able to get a night shift. No luck so far which is gay, because I can't live off $200 a week. My car payment is $191, my phone bill is $150, my insurance is $250, and other bills add up to a couple hundred. That leaves me with NOTHING at the end of the month. Lol. After I pay off my credit cards, I swear I will NEVER use them again unless it's an emergency.. and yes, pretty clothes count if I don't have the cash on me... LMAO.
I don't what else I was going to write about, but this is about it. Lol, I also have to clean the house >.<
